Our operations currently concentrate predominantly on the trading of steam coal, Low vol PCI and coking coal.

Throughout our history, we have also developed relationships with the leading producers of coal and PCI, fostering major commercial partnerships with the end users on the global scale.

Steam coal:

Also known as energy coal, this material is mostly used for electricity production through steam generation.

There are various countries producing it across the world. It is an enormous production capacity around the world, meaning that steam coal has the potential to become a major player in the energy market again when necessary. Large suppliers of steam coal, including Kazakhstan, Australia and South Africa, have further increased their production rate and exports.

Low vol PCI:

Low vol PCI is considered the rarest and highly prized and mature type of coal. It has a higher carbon content than the other types of coal. It also suitable for specific industrial uses, as it can generate more heat and produces less waste.

The high efficiency of this material and the fact that it can only be mined in areas with a high seismic risk have a significant effect on its value, making this coal one of the most expensive than other types of fuel.

Coking coal:

Metallurgical coal, also known as coking coal, is fuel that is suitable for producing high-quality blast furnace coke through carbonisation. Metallurgical coal is therefore mainly used for few purposes:

In producing traditional coke, artificial coal is obtained as a residue from the dry distillation of hard coal at a high temperature.
Producing metallurgical coke, material obtained through the destructive distillation of various blends of bituminous coal.
Approximately 70% of global steel production currently relies on this material. China and Australia are the world’s biggest producers of coking coal.
